Daisy Isobel Ridley was born in Westminster, London, England on April 10, 1992. Daisy is grand niece of Arnold Ridley of Dad's Army fame.
Daisy attended the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire, an independent co-educational school specializing in dance, graduating in 2010 at the age of 18. Daisy made her debut in 2013 as a guest-star on several television shows such as ‘Casualty’, ‘Youngers’ or more recently on ‘Silent Witness’ and ‘Mr Selfridge’. In April 2014, it was announced that Daisy would play Rey, the lead female role in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens’. |
